Terms and Conditions

About these terms
These terms apply to your use of iamshubham.net and to web development work I do for you. “I” and “me” mean Shubham Tiwari, a freelance web developer based in India. “You” means the person or business hiring me or using this site.
When you accept a written quote from me, these terms become part of our agreement. If the written quote says something different, the quote wins for that project.
Using this website
The information on this site is general. The services, starting prices and timelines shown are not a binding offer. Only a written quote that I send you is.
The sample builds are projects I made myself to show how I work. They are not client work, and they are provided as they are, without any promise of availability or support.
Please don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, and no copying of its design, text or code to pass off as your own.
Quotes and scope
After our free call, I send a written quote with the scope, price and timeline. The quote is valid for 7 days. Work starts once you accept it and pay the first instalment.
The quoted price is fixed for the scope described. If you ask for something outside that scope, I’ll tell you the extra cost and time in writing, and I’ll only start on it once you agree.
Payment
- 50% is due to start the project and 50% before launch, unless the quote says otherwise.
- I accept bank transfer, Wise, PayPal. Prices are in USD unless the quote says otherwise.
- Prices don’t include taxes, duties or payment fees that apply where you live.
- If an invoice is more than 14 days late, I may pause work until it’s paid.
I hand over the final files, logins and ownership after the final payment is received.
Timelines and what I need from you
Timelines are my honest estimates, counted from the day we agree the scope and I have the content and access I need. If content, feedback or approvals reach me late, the dates move by the same amount.
If I don’t hear from you for 7 days during a project, I may pause it and schedule it again once you’re back in touch.
Revisions and approval
Two rounds of revisions are included. A round means one consolidated set of changes sent to me together. Further rounds are charged at 7 USD or quoted separately.
I share a preview link as I go. When you approve the work, or use it live, it counts as accepted.
Who owns what
- The finished work is yours. Once I’ve received full payment, you own the code, design files and content I created for your project.
- My tools stay mine. I keep ownership of any general-purpose code, templates and methods I use across projects. You get a permanent licence to use them as part of your site.
- Third-party items have their own licences. WordPress themes, plugins, fonts, stock images and similar are licensed by their makers, and their terms apply. If a licence needs buying, it’s shown in the quote.
- Your content is your responsibility. You confirm you have the right to use the text, images, logos and other material you give me.
Portfolio and case studies
I’ll only show your finished project in my portfolio, or name you as a client, with your permission. If you took the first-clients discount, you’ve agreed to give a short honest review and allow a case study, as described when we agreed the quote.
Support after launch
For 30 days after launch, I fix any bug in what I built, free of charge.
This doesn’t cover new features, content changes, problems caused by edits made by someone else, or issues with hosting or third-party tools I don’t control. After 30 days I offer a Monthly Maintenance Plan, Yearly Maintenance Plan or Hourly support.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time by emailing me. You pay for the work completed up to that point, and I hand over what’s been finished and paid for.
The first instalment is not refundable once work has started.
If I can’t deliver what the quote describes, I’ll refund the part of your payment that covers the work not delivered.
I may end a project if invoices stay unpaid after a reminder, or if we can’t work together respectfully. In that case I’ll bill only for work done and hand over what’s paid for.
Confidentiality
I keep your business information, logins and unpublished work private, and I use them only to do the project. This doesn’t apply to information that is already public, or that I’m required by law to disclose. See my Privacy Policy for how I handle personal data.
Third-party tools and AI features
Websites rely on services I don’t run, such as hosting, plugins, payment providers and AI services. I’ll tell you which ones your project needs. Their prices, availability and terms are set by their providers, and I’m not responsible for changes they make.
AI features, such as chatbots, are powered by third-party models. Their answers can be wrong or incomplete. You’re responsible for reviewing what they say on your site, and for how you use them.
What I promise, and what I can't
I do the work with reasonable skill and care, and I’ll tell you honestly if something in your brief won’t work.
I can’t guarantee results that depend on things outside my control, such as search rankings, traffic, leads or sales.
To the extent the law allows, my total liability to you for any claim related to a project is limited to the fees you paid me for that project, and I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If we disagree, please email me first and give me 14 days to put it right. If we still can’t resolve it, the courts of Delhi, India, will handle it.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. A change doesn’t affect a project you’ve already accepted a quote for, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
